Hip Hip Hooray, I am the featured single page designer this month for Stick it Down! I actually designed the sketch this month and they featured my layout for the design team.
Here is the sketch:
This is the layout that I created:
I absolutely love how fun this layout is! I used the Stampin Up! scallop edge punch and layered the paper strips but felt like it needed a little bit more dimension. So I dug through my dusty and forgotten about ribbon bin and found some fun lace and ruffled fibers and layered them in between the paper strips. I just used my HTG gun to adhere the ribbon and paper strips.
I cheated and simply drew the banner lines because the bakers twine I was going to use just didn't "fit" on the page. I used scraps and punched the banner pieces out and glued them flat onto the page.
For the frames, I just cut 3x4 rectangles and used my paper trimmer to cut out the centers with 1/4 inch borders at the top and then 3/4 inch base to make them appear like Polaroids. I adhered the photos on the back and then added pop dots for dimension.
Finally my favorite part, the bling. I just used random sequins and mini glue dots. I used some thickers packs of bright pink foam letters for "Birthday Girl" and black glitter number pack for "5"
And voila, I have a super fun and dimensional layout that my daughter keeps begging me to hang in her room. Um, no kid this is mine!
I hope you create something fun and share it on the Stick it Down blog here for a chance to win a prize by our sponsor Cheapo Dies!
